Supreme Court Rulings/Use of Courts

The Courts serve as a less democratic, more contemplative mediator of policy. However, they can only hear cases that are brought to them by the people. The courts rarely hears foreign policy issues as the have no jurisdiction over them. Therefore, there isn’t a lot of court oversight on the federal government. There is no reasonable voice holding them in check.
